Alina. How I express my individuality

    People can express their individuality in many ways: from music they listen to how they decorate their houses. As for me, I do express myself mainly through the clothes I wear, the way I communicate with others, and how I decorate my home. 

    Appearance is quite important too. It says tells a lot about individuality. I prefer not to break away from the crowd, but at the same time, I don’t want to blend in with everyone. What I mean is, it’s only a tiny minority of people of my age who track new fashion trends. And I try to do so. As a result, I wear stylish clothes that no one else has. So, that’s the way how I stand out from the crowd with my appearance. When it comes to hair, I prefer a conventional style of haircut. 

    .... (Actually) The way how I decorate my house is also a reflection of my individuality. I lean toward an ever-broad trend of modern and minimalist-looking design. I would say it describes me myself as a neat and organized person. By the way, before I found an appropriate flat, I had rejected many offers because of my requirements.

    As for interaction with people, I feel uncomfortable joining in group activities or group teamwork. And there is a reason for it: I’m a hardworking and reliable person. That’s why I don’t want to be responsible for someone’s laziness. Moreover, I would rather give in to my arguments and thoughts just not to argue with others.

Everevone uses many avenues to express their individuality. So I’m not an exemption. In my childhood, I stood out from the crowd by making extravagant hairdo, once I even dyed it. But it didn’t assimilate into my personality and I abandoned this way. Step by step, my approaches to flaunt myself evolved. I bought my first car and came to the point I had to customize it. When I finally finished, some guys said it was dull. I argued that it’s ever-broad stuff in USA: to do something unconventional and to shun mainstream values. They gave in their inharmonious behaviour and considered that it was definitely relevant but a minority of them didn’t. This minority opted out of my point and tried to rebel but I excluded them from our society. 

In my 20ies I was fond of rock music, I was visiting concerts with my friends. I had a lot of posters with rockstars in my room.  Of course my style  was relevant for that events: black open clothes, long hairdo, big holes in ears. All that stuff stood me out from crowd too much and I made up my mind to change outlook to conventional. Than I got an idea, I decided to do the fashion Instagram blog, I wanted to be the mainstream, I made photos and published them,  trough the time it became more popular and I started to bring home the bacon by ed.

Artem. How I express my individuality

     How I express my individuality? For me, it is a difficult question and it can be answered in difficult way. On our planet, we have 8 billion people each of whom is unique .  Some of these people want to show their individuality through bright and flaunt clothes, others prefer be noticeable by doing tattoos.  For this reason, in this essay, I can tell a story about my tries to stand out from other people.

    I would like to point out that the most influential factor  how I express my individuality is a stage of my life. Because during you life   every day you meet something new, this can dramatically change your belives and interests. In my childhood and teenage age I was keen on  fantasy in all forms. I watched a lot of movies and read a lot of books. In my bedroom, 80 percent of books were about fantasy worlds. Very often I imagined myself as one of the heroes of the movies I was fond of, I was wearing special clothes and was playing with my younger brother.  Getting older, I began to play computer games. All nicknames of my characters were borrowed from virtual world.  Now i am expressing my individuality by trying unusual sports activities like Waterpolo and Wakeboarding. this kind of sports help me to understand the physical capabilities of my body and stand out from other people who do more conventional sports.

    I have never tried to join in some subcultures or break away from other people by listening  weird music. But "Never say never" because you have your whole life ahead of you .
