During – это
предлог. После него ставится существительное, одно слово. While – это союз,
после него ставится целое предложение. While соединяет два
простых предложения.
DURING + существительное – "во
время" (чего-нибудь). Используется для того, чтобы сказать КОГДА что-то
происходит.
The students were relaxing during their holidays.

FOR + временной период –
"в течение" (какого-либо времени). Используется чтобы сказать КАК ДОЛГО
что-то происходит.

WHILE + подлежащее +
сказуемое – "в то время как", "пока". Используется в тех
случаях, когда мы говорим о двух параллельно происходящих действиях.
